Autumn days

I recently touched on this in my last post however St Stephens green, Dublin is my favourite place in the world. It’s a tiny patch of greenery surrounded by the centre of the city, and it couldn’t feel like more of an escape if it tried. Especially when it’s my favourite time of year and everywhere around you looks like something from a photograph.

Macro photography

Walking around yesterday, I wanted to take full advantage of the beautiful backdrop by taking some photos of myself and my outfit, in order to document what I am like at the moment. I did this last year as well and I still look back on them photos to this day.

I chose this outfit because it’s one of my favourites, and I feel incredibly confident in it. I never used to feel self confident in anything remotely tight fitting, but recently I have broadened my horizons and I actually really like it.

This photo means more to me than the others. One year ago today, I had my photo taken under the exact same tree and posted it to Instagram. This was the first post that got any form of ‘attention’ and gave me the confidence boost to focus on my photography and keeping my Instagram up to date. One year on, I posed under the same tree with this blog post in mind and it made me realise that none of this wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t had taken it a year earlier. A bit cliché I know, but hindsight is definitely a strange thing and I have a lot to thank that tree for!!

Skirt: new look

Top: garage

Shoes: red or dead

Cardigan: Superdry

I hope to upload an outfit post once every season, which I think will be nice to see the transitions with both my style and the backdrops.

  1. Touching stuff here ! It’s great to see you reminiscing and reflecting upon something that may be subtle to the outside viewer but hold weight towards your own personal circumstances and feelings. Fantastic shots and storytelling for that matter. Great opening blog and can’t wait to see how this develops over time 🙂 Andrew (nukester82)

    1. Thank you, I really appreciate that. I wanted to explain about how that park is dear to my heart, purely because it was the beginning of this whole journey and the photos from a year ago have got me to where I am today. Tori
