A chat with @louiseroseblog

Louise is one of the first bloggers that I met in real life and I absolutely adore her blog. She has been doing so many amazing things recently and I always have a read of her blog and keep up with her social medias. We have since attended a few events together as she is a fellow northern blogger, and it’s always nice to have a friendly face at events… I’m still new to these things! I have wanted to interview her on ‘A chat with’ for a while, so I’m so happy that I have finally got around to it!

As always, my text will be in bold and Louise’s answers will be in a regular font.

What made you start your blog? Was it planned or a spontaneous decision one day?

I studied Public Relations at University and one of the modules required needing to create a blog. I started a fashion blog based purely on a clothing brand I love. I thought no one would read it but after 6 months, I was noticing how well the statistics were doing and decided to create a brand new blog so I could cover a variety of topics.

What has been your favourite blogging event that you have attended so far? I really enjoyed the Botanist where we all just sat and talked for hours, it was so nice to properly meet people.

My favourite blogging event so far has got to be a very recent event I attended, which was at the Lush Spa in Leeds. I’ve always wanted to visit and it was an incredibly wonderful experience. I’m planning on saving up to book in for a treatment myself next year!

Do you enjoy being a northern blogger? I think the blogging scene up north is really booming right now!

I love being a northern blogger! We have some really great events up north hosted by some wonderful brands. It’s great that brands are realising everything doesn’t have to be just London based.

You have moved in with your boyfriend this year, which seems so exciting! How are you finding living in a place of your own?

I did indeed! I absolutely love it. Our flat is a new build and it’s been really nice adding our own touches to the place. I can’t wait to spend our first Christmas together in our own home.

Now for some Christmas questions because it is blogmas after all. What does your typical Christmas Day look like?

My birthday is actually on Christmas Eve so I usually do something nice, such as a spa day, to celebrate my birthday on the 24th December. Christmas Day usually involves going over to my boyfriend’s parents to spend the day with them, which is always so lovely.

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

My favourite Christmas movie has to be Love Actually. It’s such a heart-warming film.

What is the best part about Christmas for you?

The best part about Christmas for me is spending time with my boyfriend and seeing both of our families throughout the festive period. I do also love having the house decorated and I’m super excited this year because I’ve decided to have Disney themed decorations.

What has been your favourite day of 2017? I ask this question to everyone as I am always nosey!

My favourite day of 2017 was my mums wedding day, which was in May. It was amazing to see her so happy and for me to be a part of her special day.

What can we expect to see from your blog in 2018?

In 2018, you can expect more travel and food content. It’s something I’m aiming to really focus more on next year. I’m planning on going on several trips to Disney Land Paris, which will be fabulous to document on my blog.

As always I will have my last question as something beauty related, what is your holy grail beauty product?

My holy grail beauty product is the Urban Decay moon dust palette. It’s so beautiful and sparkly, I adore the colours.

So there is the interview! I hope that you enjoyed it and liked hearing more from Louise. If you haven’t checked her out already please do so and let me know what you think of her blog!
