Today is national best friend day, so I thought that it was only right to have a special edition of the ‘a chat with’ series with my best friend Emily. If you have read this blog for a while you will see have seen her about, probably because we are usually together and she always joins me at beauty events. I thought it would be a cool idea to get her to feature on the blog and so you can get to know her a bit better.
Due to it being national best friend day, I thought to make all of the questions friendship related. I actually really enjoyed chatting with Emily and getting her side of things about our friendship and how we met etc. I hope you love it as much as I do, and seeing various photos of our 3 years of friendship.
As always from now on, my text will be in bold and Emily’s will be in regular font.
Can you remember when we first became friends and how we met?
The first time we spoke was in a computer room when we were in year 9, I asked you if you were from London! Since then, we spoke a lot within our friendship group but I think the first time I really realised we were best friends was after our first sleepover together.
What qualities do you look for in a friendship? Obviously this is just a question to give me an ego boost!
Trustworthy, a good laugh and kindness.
How excited are you for Tenerife?
EXTREMELY. I have never been away without adults before, and even though I’m slightly nervous for the whole airport experience without an adult, it’s going to be bloody great. I am really excited for Siam park (the water park) and just chilling on the beach with a cocktail.
What is our funniest moment together?
The shower incident! When we went to Manchester last year, it was really late at night (about 1am) and Tori went in the shower. The door wouldn’t shut properly and the whole hotel bathroom was flooding! The shower was too hot to turn off so we had to get cold towels to turn the shower off…it was so funny!
What is your favourite moment of our friendship?
Definitely our London trip! There are so many memories that were made and I had a great time, my highlights being going to the spa and shopping on Oxford street!
How do you think long distance friendship will go at university?
It better go well! I think we will FaceTime and go visit each other’s universities.
How do you think we maintain a strong friendship over the last 3 years?
We are just pretty chilled, and I like that. Even if we don’t see each other for a while, we still know that we are friends. We always try to make time for each other, going for coffees etc, and just be honest with each other. I think we maintain a pretty strong friendship!
What do you think is a good way to make new friends?
Be confident and don’t be too worried about what they actually think of you… don’t be embarrassed! Have a laugh, if they don’t like you for who you are then they shouldn’t be your friend!
Would you rather have a small or large friendship group?
Both really! I like my setup, where I have a small set of close friends but we are also part of a wider friendship group. I have the best of both worlds, my strong friendships but equally there is always someone around for you… plus it’s great having loads of your friends at parties!
Finally… 3 words to describe our friendship. Go!
Funny
Chilled
Loving
So thats the end of the interview! I really enjoyed this and giving one of my ‘real life’ friends the shoutout and attention that they deserve for national best friend day. I think if this goes down well I might make this a little series where I interview various of my real life friends, as I think it could make for a funny and quite interesting series… but please let me know what you think!
If you would like to follow Emily on Instagram then please click here, I would love if you went over and followed her!

I loved this! I couldn’t help myself but laugh at the shower incident, I could 100% see this happening to myself? Please make this into a little series and interview more of your friends!☺️
