Hello December

Wow, November has been a crazy busy month which is expected for this time of year. Probably one of the busiest months of the year! I feel like I have barely stopped with university and my blog, but I wouldn’t have it any other way and it has been so nice to actually have a lot of plans to look forward to. I can believe 2018 is nearly finished! University is going a lot better, and although I’m not compelled settled each week is definitely improving. Now the workload is increasing and I’m getting more assignments I feel like I am enjoying it more as I am not bored, and when I am bored I overthink! That paired with me travelling to Manchester so much this month for other events (I ended up going 3 times in one week completely unintentionally) meant that I feel like this month has flown by and I haven’t had a moment to chill out! Such a fab month though, and it has made me so excited for Christmas.

One of the most exciting things that happened this month is that I got through to the next round of the UK blog awards, which just completely blows my mind. I can’t believe that people even voted for me to get through, but voting is open for the next round now, and I would be ever so grateful if you could click here and vote for me if you have time. It doesn’t take very long but it would make my year if I could be shortlisted again for the final round. Voting doesn’t mean everything (which I love about the UK blog awards) but it does count for 40% of my final score and I am up against some absolutely fab creators so I need all of the help I can get. We managed to succeed at the teenage blog awards because although our community are small, we are most certainly supportive and mighty! Imagine if I could win another award in 2019? Thats the dream.

One of the best nights that I have had this month is when we went to see Matilda the musical at the palace theatre in Manchester. If you know me you know just how much I love musicals, so I couldn’t wait to see it again (it was 4 years since I last went to see it at the Westend!). It was such a fab night, I loved the performance and would 100% recommend it if you are at the locations that the UK tour is going to. I’m gutted that I missed my friend Michelle perform (she had sprained her ankle that night) but if you go to see it you might see her as Mrs Phelps, which would be so cool! Definitely a fab night, and I think it is my favourite musical that I have seen.

As you will be able to tell from this blog post, a lot of my month has seemed to revolve around Manchester, which is pretty weird but I’m definitely not complaining. Although big and quite overwhelming at first, I’ve finally started to get used to Manchester and actually learn my way around (which is bad but I just find the place so confusing!). Anyway, another thing that we did this month was surprise our lovely friends Tina and Ken for their 30th wedding anniversary. Their son and daughter in law organised a big surprise party and I’m happy that we got to go and be in on the surprise as well. I’m sure that they loved it and they definitely deserved an evening like that, so I’m so glad that they got to celebrate with all of their loved ones around them. We usually see them twice a year but due to timings we actually saw them twice this month, so they feature later on in the post as well!

I won’t go on about this too much because I have a whole blog post going live in a few days about the event, but I was invited to a very boujee event at cloud 23 in Manchester, and it was absolutely incredible. It was the most high profile event that I have ever been to (hopefully not my last though) and Kiss very much spoilt us rotten with the amazing venue, drinks and gift bags. I am a very lucky girl! I’m still blown away by the fact that I am invited to events like this, it is the absolute dream and I’m so grateful to be able to have opportunities like this… like what the hell? You just have to look at the view to be blown away.

One of the my favourite nights of the month (and probably even this year) was an incredibly spontaneous night out I had with my friends from home in Leeds. I was meant to be seeing them at their uni city for a takeaway and a few drinks, which turned into a ‘f*** it’ moment and we all jumped on the train and headed to Leeds just in time to be let into the club. We got no sleep despite all having lectures the next day but it was so worth it, and it definitely made memories. We were all so hyper and in a mood where everything was funny, so it made for a fab night out!

If you have been reading these posts for a while now then you will know that twice a year some family friends come up to our house and we have a laughter fuelled weekend catching up which is always a good time. The last weekend of this month was when everyone came up and, as always, it didn’t disappoint. Such a good weekend filled with good company, good food and good laughs… everything you need!

So that was November, as you can tell an insanely busy month but I do think that it has been one of the best months of the year, just because of the amount of cool opportunities I have had and things that I wouldn’t normally do. I cannot believe that this post marks the start of blogmas, where I will now be posting everyday until the 1st January… Im not sure whether I will be able to do it all but I hope I can and share some amazing Christmas content with you! I can’t wait for December, only 2 weeks to go until I am free from university for a whole month and I can go back home and be reunited with my friendship group again, I honestly cannot wait.
