I posted about my top 3 cleansers last month (click here to read that post) but I thought to go down the makeup route a little with my top 3 eyeshadow palettes. Eyeshadow is my makeup weakness, and I love all of the pretty colour combination you can achieve in a eyeshadow palette. I tend to wear more neutral shades on my eyes (focusing towards the oranges, deep brown and bronzes) but I sometimes push myself into brighter colours, and if ever I go out of my comfort zone with my makeup, its on my eyes. Over the years I have tried a lot, so I think my top 3 eyeshadow palettes in this post are genuinely fab and something you need in your life. It was so hard to narrow it down but I think you could achieve most looks with these palettes!
Jeffree star cosmetics androgyny palette: £40
This is my most used eyeshadow palette, and one that I recommend to anyone. The formula of these is like no other and that is the reason why it has made it into my top 3 eyeshadow palettes, if not my favourite. I love that the majority of the palette are natural wearable colours (that I wear daily) but equally I like that there is the option for more purple and blue shades, which are the tones I go towards if I am not wearing the warm shades. I think this is the best palette that jeffree has released because not only are the colours are so up my street, but the packaging is also very streamline unlike some of his recent releases, so is perfect for travelling. Apart from a black, it has every shade I need, which also makes it fab for travelling. I would love some more Jeffree Star cosmetics due to my love for this product, and my next treat purchase is going to be the blood sugar palette. Maybe that will make it into my top 3 eyeshadow palettes in the future!
Morphe 35B Palette: £23
If you are someone who wants to experiment with different colours rather than the classic neutrals, this is a fab one to choose…. hence the reason it holds a firm spot in my top 3 eyeshadow palettes. I can’t get over how cheap morphe palettes are, whilst still having 35 shades and a fab blendable quality. With the 35b especially, I can create every colourful and creative look that I can imagine and I don’t feel the need to use anymore colours from other palettes. Thats when you know you have created a good colour range! I would like to purchase another morphe palette as I think that are such good value for money but I find the huge range of neutral colours overwhelming. Which palette would you recommend? I would love to purchase the James Charles one but it is always out of stock.
Naked heat: £42
Ill be honest, the original naked palette should be part of my top 3 eyeshadow palettes, but it was recently discontinued, and I don’t want to promote something that you cannot get your hands on if you want too. That being said, if you can find the original naked palette anywhere (on depop or in the sales etc)… GET YOUR HANDS ON IT. There aren’t many matte shades for transition, but the shimmers are amazing and tones that suit every skin tone. I cannot believe that they have stopped selling it as it is such an iconic beauty product and one of the first high-end products that I bought.
Anyway, the original naked palette aside, the urban decay shadows as a whole are super quality and I would definitely recommend them. My current favourite naked palette is the naked heat, and that is the one that has made it into my top 3 eyeshadow palettes… and for good reason too! The main thing I love about this palette is the amount of warm toned matte shades, as they are the ones that I wear most days. I love wearing orange toned browns because they make my green eyes pop! The naked heat is the most versatile of the Naked palettes too in my opinion, as I use the shades towards the left hand side during the day, putting some of the middle shades in my crease, and on an evening I focus my attention towards the right hand darker shades. Overall this is a super palette and a firm favourite in my makeup bag when I go travelling.
So these were my top 3 eyeshadow palettes. Do any of these make your top 3, and if not which ones would you have on your list? As you can probably tell, I love eyeshadow so I am always looking for recommendations on which ones are best to try. I am still on the hunt for my dream palette to take travelling with me, and I still haven’t found it… hopefully I do one day! As always, thank you so much for reading this and supporting my blog, all the support recently has not gone unnoticed.
