If you have been following me for a while you will know that towards the end of last year I attended the Kiss event in Manchester, and it was one of my favourite events that I have ever been to. So, when they invited me to the same event in Leeds, I obviously was going to say yes. Kiss are such a lovely company to work alongside, and I have really enjoyed attending their events over the past year, plus its fab being able to do events in my university city!
In case you haven’t heard of Kiss before, they are a fab beauty brand that produce both lashes and false nails.
The Kiss event was held at Dakota in Leeds, which is such a lovely hotel in the city centre. My grandparents have actually stayed there a few times when they have been to visit me in Leeds, so I am familiar to the hotel. That being said I have never been to their sky bar where the event was held, and it did not disappoint. I think it would be a perfect bar for cocktails, as it is also around the Greek Street area which, if you know Leeds, you will know how fab that area is for cocktails in the city. I will definitely be returning!
I have become confident enough to attend events on my own over the past couple of years, but it is always lovely when friends attend too. I’m sure that you know Molly (and if you don’t, cllck here to read a very old interview we did). Me and Molly get on SO WELL and we are genuinely so similar (we literally spoke for 6 hours straight), and it is so nice to be able to chat to someone who is in the same industry. And they say internet friends aren’t real! I wouldn’t have ever known Molly if it wasn’t for watching her videos, and I’m so glad that we have become friends this year because of the internet.
The Kiss event was super chilled and we spent most of the evening chatting and having a look at their launches. We also got to have either lashes or nails (or both!) applied to us. I have acrylics on my nails so I opted for the ‘chiffon’ lashes to be applied, and I loved them. They were so wispy and natural, but still had a lot of impact! Molly had her nails done with the stick on nails, and they seemed to last so well… and they looked so much like acrylics. I would definitely recommend their false nails if you are wanting a healthier alternative to acrylics.
At the end of the event, we were very kindly gifted a huge goodie bag filled with more Kiss products to try. It was so generous of them as genuinely there were so many products in the gift… I am a lucky girl thats for sure. That being said, there is too much for one girl to try so I will definitely be putting some of them in an upcoming giveaway that I’m hosting, so look out for this.
Overall, this was such a lovely event with Molly and really nice to have something hosted up north, as it doesn’t happen very often. Thank you so much to the team at Alex Silver PR and Kiss for inviting me to the event, and for such a generous goody bag. As always, thank you so much for reading this and supporting me, as if it wasn’t for all the support I wouldn’t have been invited to events like this… I’m so grateful.
(This was a complimentary visit by Kiss, however all opinions and photos are my own)
