May has been one of the busiest months ever, but it has also been super good and filled with lots of memories. I finally finished first year of university (YES!), summer began, I’ve attended lots of blog events and May was also the month where I passed my driving test. What a month!
We started the month off with a night out with my uni friends, which doesn’t actually happen that often as we are all so busy with uni, working and running businesses! However, we all made time to have a night off before our exams and go on a night out. My PPE group are some of the best friends that I’ve made this year so it was nice to see them away from the lecture theatre. It also makes me so excited for all of my birthday nights out which are happening in June too.
Blog events seem to be like buses- there are either none or they all come at once. May was definitely a month where they all came at once! There has been so many and I have also seemed to be turning a lot down at the moment too, its crazy. We started May off with a trip to Bills with my nan for their press night, then me and Molly attended the Kiss event at Dakota, and then we ended May with reviewing Comptoir Libanais in the Trinity centre. Attending blog events is one of my favourite parts of blogging, because I love connecting and networking with other bloggers, and seeing what amazing brands have to offer. I’m so excited for more blog events over summer when I have more time away from university!
Talking of university, May is when all of my end of year university exams were at. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very stressful week, but I am so thankful that they were all over within a few days of each other and it meant that I could enjoy summer. The exams went overall ok, I don’t feel super confident but I don’t feel like I have failed either… very in the centre! I am so glad its summer now though and I don’t have to see the library at very unconventional hours until at least November, I am very in need of a break and the opportunity to focus more time on the business.
Straight after my exams I headed up to Middlesbrough for BBC radio 1’s big weekend with my best friend. I have never been to a festival before but it actually turned into one of the best days of my year so far, and without a doubt made some of the best memories that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. We were so tired, our legs ached like crazy and we were soaking wet from the typical British weather but it was still so perfect. I spent over 10 hours dancing, listening to both my fave artists and also people I have never heard before, and laughing more than I have in months. What a day!
Now for something that I know I will definitely remember for the rest of my life… as quite frankly it is such a life changing experience. On 29th May 2019 I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!! I can’t believe I am actually saying that, as it was such a long time coming and at one point I genuinely thought I was never going to pass, as let me tell you that driving did not come naturally. I have never really spoken much about my experiences driving, and thats because I am thinking of doing a whole post about my experiences of my test and learning how to drive in the next month or so. Let me know if that is something you are interested in!
So that was my May. I think this post is short, sweet but jam packed full of good memories (even if exams did seem to take up the whole of May). I am so excited for June, especially now that I can drive, because so many exciting things are happening. Its my birthday month, a new launch is happening over at Indigo Rosee beauty and I’m also going back to my favourite city in the world for a mini getaway… you will not want to miss the blog posts. As always, thank you so much for reading this and supporting this crazy journey that 2019 has been so far, I can’t believe we are halfway through the year already.
