This is my final instalment in my Tenerife diaries series- have you seen part 1 and part 2? If not I would read them first, so you are caught up on the trip so far! This post is the last 3 days of my trip, which definitely were some of my highlights of Tenerife. So many good memories (and not many photos because of all the good memories, I barely got my camera out!)
This is going to be a short day, because we spent the whole day at siam park. It has been voted the best waterpark in the world, and it certainly didn’t disappoint… it was one of my highlights of Tenerife! We spent the whole day there, going on all of the slides and experiencing the lazy river and wave pool too. My favourite slides were definitely ‘The dragon’, ‘Jungle snakes’ and the rapids. I have no photos of the day as my phone was in the locker, but I did snap this on the way out at the end of the day.
I had such a fun day splashing around, although it is a very tiring day. By the time we got back to the hotel room, we ordered room service and just crashed in bed watching Netflix. A perfect end to a fab day!
This was our last full day, and I was so sad (although definitely ready to come home and see my family). We spent the day soaking up the last of the sun, sunbathing on the balcony, and slowly packing up all of our stuff ready to come home. it was a super chilled day, and it meant I could finally get a bit of a tan!
On the evening we decided to get dressed up and go for a nice meal on our last night. It turned out to be one of the best meals I have ever had! Granted it was more on the expensive side, but if you are ever in Tenerife please go to ‘El Molino Blanco’. It has a windmill attached to it! We were sat outside, surrounded by plants and watching the sunset. We had so much nice food, and we also got to listen to some live music that was playing inside. It was such a nice evening, and without a doubt one of the highlights of Tenerife for me. I loved it, and if I ever went back I would 100% go back again. I absolutely loved it, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a more fancy or upmarket meal when on holiday.
We ended the night by sat on the balcony for the last time, and finishing up some last minute packing.
We had to wake up early even though we had booked an evening flight, because checkout at the hotel was 10am. We checked out, left our luggage at the hotel and then had a few hours in Tenerife before we had to set off for the airport.
We walked back down the harbour where we were at the start of the week, and had a walk along to the beach. We stopped at some cafes and shops on the way, and basically just had a day walking around with no plan. We also had a McDonalds, as for some reason Spanish McDonalds tastes so much nicer in the UK! It was such a chilled day, with no plan apart from to pick up some souvenirs and explore a new area where neither of us had been.
Unfortunately, we had to go back to the airport at around 4pm to catch our flight. We had a night flight, and I was absolutely shattered… I can barely remember the airport because I was so tired. The flight was okay, and we landed at about 1 before making the drive back home. We got back home at 4am and just crashed in bed until mid morning. It was a long day!
So that was the last instalment of my Tenerife diaries, and the end of all of my Tenerife themed posts. I have loved writing them and sharing my highlights of Tenerife. Im not sure if I will be going back for a while, but I will definitely be going back at some point in the future as there are so many things that I still want to do. Thank you so much for reading all of my Tenerife posts- I hope you enjoyed them! I still have one trip left of summer so them travel posts will be coming soon.
