A pixi skincare brand insight has been in my list of must write blog posts for so long, and I am finally getting round to it now. I am so excited to share my top picks though! I started receiving Pixi products around this time last year, and since then I have been slowly building up my collection. They always treat me to the most beautiful PR packages, and I don’t deserve what they send me. Their surprise parcels aways make my day! Pixi isn’t the only skincare brand I use in my current skincare routine , but they form a staple part in my collection, so it was only right that I did a pixi skincare brand insight.
Pixi also do a range of makeup, but that post would be so long if I looked at all of my Pixi products, so I decided to narrow it down to just Pixi skincare for this post. If you would like me to do a makeup one at the start of next year, please let me know! I have also narrowed this down to my top 5 skincare picks from the brand, and what I would recommend if you are on a budget and can only pick up one or two key items. Pixi is an expensive brand in my 19 year old opinion, but I have grown to love it and I would recommend the investment if you have the budget.
These products were gifted, therefore due to new regulations this post is marked as an AD. I thought to clear this up, as these products were gifted and I have not been paid any further to talk about these products in a positive light.
Pixi Glow Tonic- £18
Of course this product had to feature in the Pixi skincare brand insight! The most famous product Pixi have brought out, and I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t already. You use a cotton pad and sweep it over your skin, and it is a chemical exfoliant. I was worried about trying this at first because I thought it would be really strong, but that couldn’t be less of the place. It is effective, but I’m sure sensitive skin could use it too. I use it in a morning to freshen up my skin after sleeping, and I genuinely think it makes a difference to how my makeup is applied. Pixi kindly sent me this huge personalised version, so I definitely have enough to last me! I will probably just keep refilling this when I run out, as I don’t want to ever get rid of this beautiful bottle.
Vitamin C Caviar balm – £24
This is one of the newest products in my collection, but it needed to feature in this Pixi skincare brand insight. This is a leave in mask, that you put on and then leave it to work its magic (almost like a very thick moisturiser). This has been my SAVIOUR recently after uni nights out. I maybe haven’t taken my makeup off properly, and maybe had one too many gins, so my skin after a night out always looks worse for wear and very dull. I do a deep skincare routine and put this balm on, and I wake up in the morning back to normal. I absolutely love it, and is one of my favourite products Pixi have brought out. If you are a student, I would definitely recommend!
Pixi “on the glow” stick moisturiser- £18
This isn’t part of my daily skincare routine, but I thought to include it anyway as it is such a genius idea and I haven’t seen another product like this on the market. This is a moisturiser that almost feels like a waxy texture, and condensed into a stick form. I don’t use this all of the time, but it is the product I reach for when I am travelling because it is so convenient. The packaging is so travel friendly, and I know I am getting a really good product too. This was so good when I was on holiday earlier in the year, and my skin always feels so dry when I am on holiday, so I put this in my beach bag so I could use to throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this if you are someone that tends to travel a lot but still wants a good quality moisturiser.
Vitamin C Juice cleanser – £18
Again, this is not part of my daily skincare routine but I absolutely love it when I do use it. As I do a lot of work from home, I rarely wear makeup in the house and this is where this product comes in. I have found that this cleanser is not good at removing makeup, so if you often wear heavy makeup this is definitely not for you. However, if you don’t wear makeup this is the perfect cleaner to actually cleanse your skin, rather than removing heavy products. The pump on this is really cool, and I just sweep one or two pumps of this all over my skin after a no makeup day to refresh my skin and remove any oils that have built up throughout the day. It smells amazing too!
I would really like to see Pixi bring out an effective makeup remover (like a hot cloth cleanser) in the future, as I think that would be absolutely amazing.
Glow Tonic Serum- £26
Last but not least, the glow tonic serum. This is the first serum that I have ever tried, so I don’t really have a lot to base it on. Regardless, I do really enjoy using it and despite it being one of the most expensive items in the collection, it was worth a mention in the Pixi skincare brand insight. I really like the applicator (its like a pipette style) and I also like how it feels on the skin. I apply this every evening after my cleanser and toner, and before my moisturiser. I find it gives my skin an extra boost of moisture that a moisturiser can’t do. A staple part of my skincare routine now!
Pixi kindly sent me the vitamin C version of the serum too, so once the glow tonic one is finished I will be putting that to the test. I wonder if I will like that more?
I think I narrowed it down to a good top 5 for my pixi skincare brand insight, I LOVE all of the products mentioned and I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to spice up your skincare routine, or you could always pop them on your Christmas list. Thank you so much for reading this, and let me know if you want to see anymore skincare related posts. I have been doing quite a few recently and loving writing about my skincare finds and routine.
