November is always a busy month, and November 2019 was no exception to this. I feel like I have had so much uni work on with midterm deadlines looming, but also lots of fun plans, so I have been incredibly busy but enjoyed it. I can’t believe it is nearly the end of the year, and we are going into December… 2019 has well and truly flown by.
We started November 2019 off with the IRBeauty Christmas launch, which were our 2 new lash books. This is the first time I have ever released anything a bit different, and I am so happy with how they went down with my audience. Thank you to everyone that has bought one so far! I worked so hard on them over summer, so it makes me so happy to see them finally released and ready to be shown with the world. If you want to check them out and anything else on my site then click here to be redirected.
Uni work has heightened hugely this month. Deadlines approaching, work picking up the pace and a very inconveniently placed strike in the middle of the month means that I have had so much uni work to do, and I feel like I am spending the majority of my time on my laptop working away at my to-do list. Second year is no joke! I have been super productive this month though, and met all of my deadlines, so I’m trying to focus on the little wins. That is why I have been quieter than usual on Instagram, because I just haven’t had time to create the content that I have wanted to.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know that a few times a year our lovely family friends come up and spend a few days with us, and I absolutely love it. This year is exactly the same and they came up to visit, and we had a fab few days. Good food, good drinks and most importantly good company… what more do you want?
I love a concert but I don’t go nearly as much as I should do, but we changed that in November 2019 when we booked tickets to go see Jake Bugg at the Manchester Academy. I like his music but I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did, the atmosphere was so good and his performance was so good live. I loved it! Plus, Milky chance are one of my favourite bands and I found at they are also playing at the Academy in February next year, so I am definitely going to go back and see them. I’m already excited!
Whilst I was in Manchester, we decided to go on a night out. I barely go on nights out but for some reason this month I ended up going on two in the space of a week! This was arguably one of the best nights out I have ever had, and I loved being able to spend time with the flat in Manchester… it is the first time we have all been on a night out together! We went to my favourite club in Manchester (ARK for anyone interested) and I just love it in there. I never thought a nightclub would end up being one of my happy places but here we are. The best night of November 2019 without a doubt.
You might have seen on the IRBeauty Instagram but, as it is our first year of Black Friday, we decided to offer some fab deals. I was so worried because big brands can offer huge discounts and savings, but as a small business that is just not feasible without making a loss. So instead I decided to create some smaller discounts, and then some more handmade deals, such as free gift wrapping. I think it went down so well, which makes me really happy. The first Black Friday as a brand owner was a success! It blows my mind that this time a year ago my first 3 lashes were just going into production, and this year people will be opening them on Christmas Day. What a year.
You will either not care or not have noticed, but the first Winter in the city was the last weekend of the month, and I was so disappointed that I couldn’t go. I loved SITC and it was one of my favourite days of the year, so I was gutted to be missing it but I had a lot of deadlines with uni, and I also had black Friday to organise the day before, so it would have been too much to attend WITC as well. I am 100% going to summer in the city next summer though, and I already cannot wait.
I ended the month with a trip to Hull to see my best friend Emily. If you have read hello October you will know that I spent a night there in freshers week, and I haven’t seen Emily since then, so it has been a good few months! I won’t actually know how the weekend went because I am pre-scheduling this post for whilst I am there, but if last time is anything to go by I am sure it will be very fun, with a lot of alcohol thrown in!
So that was my November 2019! As you can see it has been super hectic (and I am super tired now) but it was still so nice to socialise a lot more than usual, and see my friends and family. Nothing too exciting planned for December, although I am so excited to relax and spend time over christmas with my family.
