This is going to be a shorter post than my usual outfit diary posts, because lets be real… lockdown fashion is where its at currently! I haven’t left my house apart from to go to the post office in nearly 2 months, but considering my blog has talked a lot about fashion over the past 3 years, I thought it would be an interesting twist to do a ‘lockdown fashion’ edition of this series. As you can see, there is a bit of a trend of joggers throughout this post!
Usually I put this into certain ‘outfits’, but considering I have just been wearing the same combination of clothes for the past 2 months, it wasn’t worth putting it into set outfits. Instead, I’m just going to talk through some of my favourite pieces, and as always I will link what I can throughout the post.
I don’t joke when I say my lockdown fashion has consisted of 99% joggers, and I have been wearing them pretty much everyday for the past 2 months. My favourite ones that I have found are the missguided 90s joggers, as they come in so many colours and are super comfy. They are also more oversized than usual joggers too, which I like! I have a few different pairs that I like, but I think the lilac ones are my most worn. I love the colour lilac at the moment, and they go so nicely with a black top. I must wear them at least twice a week! I know the missguided joggers are constantly out of stock, but its definitely worth checking if you are looking for some new pairs as I think they release a few pairs each week.
Black Motel Rocks Top:
If you have been following my Instagram, you will have definitely seen this top a few times recently. I bought it just before lockdown started and was planning to wear it on nights out, but considering that hasn’t happened, I have been pairing it with joggers on sunny days. Its such a basic top, but I love the square style neckline, and the velvet texture. Plus I bought it in the sale, and I think that there are still some in stock on the motel rocks website right now.
You might have seen this new look shirt before in my last outfit diary post, but I thought to share it again because I have been styling it in a different way to how I first starting wearing it. Before I just wore it like a shirt tucked into my leather skirt, but recently I have been unbuttoning it and tying it with the black top underneath that I mentioned earlier. Obviously I haven’t been wearing this out of the house (because I haven’t been going anywhere!), but I did use it when I was doing some homeshoots for my Instagram. I have been trying to do as many homeshoots as I can recently, so I suppose I have been wearing ‘normal’ clothes a tiny bit! Im looking forward to styling all of my clothes when we are allowed to socialise again. Ive actually ordered another shirt in a similar style to this, so I’m sure you will be seeing that soon too.
What a surprise- another black top! However, that has what I have been wearing for the majority of lockdown, so might as well include another one. This is another one of my favourites, and I love how it looks a little bit more smart than other tops that I have been wearing recently. Perfect for zoom calls and things where I need to look good from the was it upwards! I really like this top paired with acid wash joggers, or I think it would look super cute with tie-dye joggers too (but I don’t have any yet!).
I am so surprised that I have never featured this jumpsuit in an outfit diary post before! Its been super hot last week in the UK, and paired with being allowed to see people at 2m distance, I have been having some socially distanced picnics in the sun. This floral jumpsuit is perfect for weather like this, and it also supports my good friend Molly too, as it is part of her collection with Get Noticed. I loved it last summer, and I know I will definitely be getting my use out of it over the coming months too, as its a super casual piece that you could wear in the garden on a hot day too.
So there are some of my key pieces in my lockdown fashion wardrobe right now, which as you can see… comfort is clearly key right now! I love all of these outfits though and I know that over the next few months I will be spending even more time in my house, so I think the lockdown fashion will be continuing. I might do another one with some ‘garden glam’ summer clothes, as now uni is finished I am hoping to spend a lot more time outside in the garden sunbathing and chilling.
What are your current lockdown fashion go to’s?
